I have fished Lake Mead, Eagle Valley and Haymeadow but I am looking for some more fishing spots for trout or bass that are 2-3 hours or less of a drive from Las Vegas. Would drive to UTAH, ARIZONA, etc if some good lakes existed out there. Would love it if I could find non-desert lakes that are good for camping too.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

In Utah, Otter Creek is a awesome Trout Fishing lake.
If you want to stay in nevada, take a trip up to Ely and fish either Cave Lake or Illipah.
Very good trout lakes.

Just out of Beaver,Utah there are several lakes, Little Res, Kents lake, Anderson meadow and Puffer. The elevation is 8000' to 9000' great in the summer to escape the heat. in Nevada +1 to the Ely info I did really well there last May.

I just went to Beaver Utah and wrote up a report on it.

At 3.5 hours away, Panguitch is a nice non-desert trout fishery. They have rainbow, cut-bow and tiger trout. There is a slot limit, so pay attention to that. You can also fish Duck Creek, Aspen-Mirror, and Navajo just down the road.

Utah trout fishing for us... I don't mess with anything in Nevada for the most part anymore.
Panguitch (limit 4 with slot limits) and Kolob (limit 2 with slot limits) for me during the hot summer months to get away from the heat. Minersville (limit 1 with slot limits) is hot right now, but from what I have been hearing fairly crowded. Plus it is not up there in elevation so hot during the summer and no protection from the wind so you get blasted there.
Both Minersville and Kolob can be one day trips. Long but do-able. We always camp when we go to Panguitch. Navajo can be a one day trip too but the main road getting there is iffy year to year plus I never caught anything worthy of spending the $$ or time for a day trip again. (we limited out easily enough but stockers, etc)

I just noticed you mentioned camping also. Mountain wise Panguitch, Kolob and Navajo would be on my radar for camping/fishing. Minersville does have the added bonus of small mouth in it but not in the mountains.
We trypically go to Panguitch sometime in June to camp/fish for a couple days. Last year it was really nice the year before it was in the 30s at sunrise. A little chilly. Chilly is easy enough for me... Try getting a 11-12 year old girl out of a sleeping bag in those temps... lol
Not sure if we will be making out annual trout camping trip this year or not. In the air...

I am also a big fan of how Utah does there annual fishing license. It goes from the date of purchase to a year later verse March to March, etc type of dealio. So last year I bought mine in mid June for our big Panguitch camping trip. (Thinking I was going to make more Utah trips last year...) Anyways if we go to Panguitch again this year I will just be sure to plan it a few weeks earlier than last year so my annual license that I purchased last year will still be good.

Illipah is great lake to fish in the summer time. Fly and bubble with an #12 Adams will catch rainbows in the mornings and evenings. Sand Hollow in Utah is a great place for bass. Gunlock is also a nice lake for bass.
