[font "Calibri"] There are lots of stick-ups to hang a cast net and floating junk from the wash to Sand Island. The big gizzard shad are in the shallows but the fishable bait is not where it used to be.[/font]

[font "Calibri"]The locations that held the big fish was barren and 40 foot of water was hard to find at the usual spots.[/font]
[font "Calibri"]Fish are hitting cut bait but it’s a lite bite so hold your poles or go to free spool. We got to the wash around 8am and cast for shad till 10am with only one 1.5 pound gizzard. The first bite was around 11am and stopped at 1:30pm. That’s when the winds started and by 3:30 we had to leave. The swells were at 2-3ft by the time we got into the main lake the waves were at 3-4ft with rouges at 5ft.[/font]

[font "Calibri"]Ended the day with a zoo of 30 boats trying to get loaded at the launch ramp of Boulder Harbor.[/font]
[font "Calibri"]Fish count 7 in the cooler and 5 dinks released, biggest fish was 2.3 pounds.[/font]

I took my son out in our houseboat on the 4th also. There wasn't any wind reported. But around the time you said, I brought the houseboat back in 3-5 footers.

Thank god we weren't far from the marina.
