All I gotta say is WEIRD

So it was really bizarre, at this one jordan river fishing spot of mine I saw a bone under water, probably in about a foot of water. Anyway, I could see another white object laying on the bottom a little farther out, where it was probably 2-3 feet deep. So at first I figured it was just another bone but all the sudden it half floated up and I could clearly see if was a fish. It looked like it was barely alive but dying but i'm honestly not sure. When it surfaced, it looked to me as if the fish was so close to death but it had a little fight in it and it attempted to turn itself over.

I got a pretty good look and suspected it was a 9 or so inch channel cat. But then it sunk back down and I could still see it and with my pull I reached out and tryed bringing it to shore to get a look at it and I almost got it there, I was able to get it totally to the top and instead of being a channel cat it appeared to be a sucker. It was weird cause it was channel catish color but had the unmistakable sucker mouth. Anyway, unfortunately I didn't quite get it in and the current pushed it backwards where it was to deep to see the bottom. Anyway it was really weird.

It was really similar to a story which sounds so fake but it's seriously true. Not this past winter, but the one before I was walking along the JR trail, saw a spot that might be good for fishing in the summer so I decided to take a peak. Out of the blew a Sucker literally washed up on shore...it was literally like 5 inches and rapidsh looking water where it washed up(not where I planned on fishing lol). Anyway, it was either in hybernation mode, sick or something cause I literally was able to catch it with my bare hands and I don't even remember it putting up a fight. When I caught it as alive and there was a crayfish either in its mouth or on it cause when i grabbed the fish, it fell in the water and swam off.

So it wasn't moving or flopping/ thrashing but it was sucking with its mouth like they normally do. Anyway, there happened to be a stray puddle deeper than where he washed up and I sort of nurtured him, stroking him back and forth like you normally do when you release a fish, and let him just chill and lay on the bottom(He didn't float up like dying/dead fish do, he was able to lay normal). I'm not sure what happened to him but I put him in a deeper slower calm section by where i found him and he didn't swim off fast but he swam off and tryed swimming away when I tryed to grab him again to see if he was normal.

I use to have a fish tank with a lot of fish in it about 10 years ago. One of the fish went missing so I figured he was eatin. About three weeks later I lifted a rock and out the fish swam. It was just bones, I didnt see heart or guts. But it was still alive swimming around just a bare skeleton. It looked like a demon fish but about a week later it was nursed back to healthy and had his skin back. I will never forget that!
