I had a chance to take the motorized tube out (with a few more modifications) early this morning to Deer Creek.
I launched a little after 6AM from Island park. Water temp 52.
I had a quick hit on a worm on a wedding ring, but for the next hour I was inconveniencing electrons without hooking any fish.
I did, however, notice that there is small deer trapped on the island. It was moving around for the morning feed. I tried to get a photo but it moved into the brush before I could get the camera on it.
Finally about 7:30 I had a big hit on a trolled rainbow rapala in about 45' of water off the west tip of the island. It was a good fight with the trout taking line twice on the way in.
I landed and measured it at 18" before releasing it.
Unfortunately that was the only player of the morning.
Being out on the tube is great. I do need to learn to fish from it a bit better.
