You probably should look into the Lorenzo ramp. Last I heard they were still working on the ramp. Call Jimmy's in IF, they will give you good info on how long it will take with the current flows, but I imagine that's a pretty long float.

With the hgher flows on the South Fork will make the trip from Twin Bridges to Lorenzo can be a unenjoyable float.
A number of the channels were narrow and had tress and limbs overhanging the water. With the higher flows there won't be time to go to a Plan B. Need to check the channel out prior to flooating it.
There will be alot of floating debris which can also block channels off to floating and making for a miserable floatalso.
The boat ramp on the eastside of the river at Lorenzo is not good for boat take out . Toons will be somewhat less of a problem. I would check it out before starting.
If you have never floated this stretch before I would recommend highly not doing it. The flow this high not toon friendly water. The water is cold so if you do get dumped you better have the gear to get dry.
This stretch is a great late July through Sept float. Way better for toons. This stretch eats boats every year.
Float it at your own risk.

I agree , this is the most dangerous stretch of the south fork there is . It changes every spring . Curt G.

I would put in at larenzo and go to the menan boat ramp slower float it takes rufley four to six hours but not a lot to worry about. And there are some nice fish to be caught in that stretch of water but with that big wind we had come threw I would still be very carefull good luck and happy fishing

thanks for the help, I didn't have time to reply. We took your advice and decided to go from wolf flats to heise bridge.
Had a pretty fun day. Only had one minor disaster when my right oarlock snapped in half.
having fins saved the day! And a big thanks to my awesome wife who dropped everything and drove up with a new lock.
We are starting to plan our next trip.
any suggestions? a day long float that isn't to hard would be perfect. My buddy mentioned the buffalo river?
