Green River Cat Action
#1
I hit the mighty Green River for the first time this year with my little bro and cousin for some insane cattin' action. We decided to try the low head dam near town, and thus began the slaying. Because our bait supply was running low, we were only out for about 2 hours. We ended up with a 9lb, 7lb, two 5lb's, and a few between 2-3lb's. Not a bad start for 2013!

Nicely done. Is the town that you're talking about, the town of Green River? Also, if you don't mind sharing, what were you using for bait?

Yeah, good ol' Green River. I'm living in SLC right now but I'm originally from GR. I took a week off to go home and get some hardcore cattin' done. For bait I usually just bounce over to Scofield on the way home and load up on chubs. Chubs. The wonder bait. Slap one of those bad boys on and you're good to go. They're tough enough to stay on your hook and big enough to keep most of the smaller ones away. You just have to sit back and let the sumo cats come to you!

Nicely done!

I don't think anyone on here would complain about catching 20+ inch fish for a day! Great scenery at least one of those shots. Red Rock and Catfish, just awesome!
