Right after school on Friday I decided to head up to Pineview, weber river, and causey too see what kind of fly fishing fun I can get into up North once again from Friday-Sunday.
First I decided to hit the lower weber river that I've never fished on before until Friday.
Started on the river with a black woolly bugger and just shortly after a few cast I slammed into my first cutty on the weber [cool] 12" with the great rocky cliffs made it more beautiful.

Just love the vibrant color by the gills [

After jumping from rock to rock to get up and over a few heavy currents slammed into a monster brown that made my line scream but
ly it went down the water fall and it was hard to get him out of the fast current but when I got him out he went down scream fast, jumped into the air, and unhooked him self. It was the best looking brown ive seen. It would of been easily 20"+ would been nice to have a go pro at that moment.
Just shortly after screaming loud with frustration in the canyon I end up picking 2 of her little brothers swimming around closely.

After walking about 2 miles down the canyon I went back up to a spot that I saw some spawning Sucker. I just had to catch one. I fished next to some guy who caught a few of them about 30min later I finally hook up into this one eye sucker.
After a few picture he went back up to spawning grounds with his buddies.

Right after I released that sucker I decided I had to head up to pine view to check a few spots for some bass but no love from the bass. Woke up Saturday morning and head up to Causey to get something bigger then 12" rainbow but no love from Causey once again but dang all the big fish that were on my fish finder made me mad. Possibly saw a few 23"+ swimming under me.
All of the frustration on Causey I just had to punish pine view. Go to the lucky lottery ticket spot after noon. Launched my float tube again and just started hamming the crappie as well supprisinly perch as well on my fly rod. I finally go perch on some flies. Caught 50+ crappie, 1 blue gill, 10+ Perch. Biggest crappie was 14" that felt like a bass [laugh]

With Saturday being such an amazing day the dumb clouds ruined the warm weather and it was chilly morning on Sunday. With the clouds and more wind the crappie size went down big time but more play time with the perch.
This is the carp that I caught with my my hands.[laugh]
[inline "lower weber, pineview 5 26 13 047.JPG"]
And this is the carp that I caught on my fly rod. I couldn't believe it was a carp because it dragged me out .5+miles from where I caught it. It litterally went out so fast that in matter of minutes. Everyone that saw me kicking my fins off to get closer to the carp so my fly rod doesn't snap or my backing doesn't come undone. The people watching me thought I had a big musky on but no it was just a really fat 23" carp. Biggest fight I've ever had on my fly rod so far. Took me 10+ minutes to grab the sucker in my net then about 5 minutes to flip fast to shore and get a few picture of this fatty.

[inline "lower weber, pineview 5 26 13 051.JPG"]
After that fatty I just basically been catching tons of dinker crappie with one 10" and rest small guys and tons of perchlets.
[inline "lower weber, pineview 5 26 13 054.JPG"]
[inline "lower weber, pineview 5 26 13 055.JPG"]
One guy told me that that carp was one nice golden musky as a joke good days.
1 carp 20+ perch , and 10-15+ crappie.
Caught all fish on black woolly bugger, gray and orange scuds, prince nymph, psychedelic prince nymph, and nymphocatotung.
Hope everyone had a great Memorial Week. [cool] [
