Boat decontamination?
#1
I just come back from Powell last night and thinking of hitting Starvation this friday but need to get Professionally decontaminated.
Anyone have any opinions to share about the professionals the DNR has connections to through the phone numbers listed on the Self Certification forms found at most launches?
I live in the south end of Salt Lake County.

Have the DNR do it they spray it down and give you a seal.

Only downside is the time you want to hit the water. Unless you get it done during the week My dad had to wait till around till around 830: / 9:00 for them to get his boat in.

Ok, thanks.
I had heard there were some gas stations or service stations around that were contracted by the DNR to do it for free. Maybe it was just a nasty rumor?

A couple weeks ago i was in the same situation. I called the Provo State Park and made an appoinment with them to have my boat decontaminated. I showed up at the set time and they were ready to go...Took about an hour but was better than showing up somewhere to fish and then possibly having to wait for several hours. Not sure if you live in UT county but this is an option.

I wonder if someone could get a business going by offering decontamination as a mobile service. They would need to charge at least $50.00 to make it somewhat worthwhile, I wonder if people would pay for the convenience? Or how they could get certified or approved to do it.
