i'm taking my two boys to schofield this fri. for there first ice fishing trip if the area around utah lake has 1 or 2 " of ice scofield should have safe ice by then anybody else going to be there ? or want to start a convey up and do some fishing ?

I am planning to take the wife and father in law there on Saturday--prayin for good ice. what color rat finkie? We did ok last year on a 1/64 oz glow jig under a kastmaster, but only fished it once. What else works at scofield?

I'd hate to say it, but I think you guys are all making a big mistake. I'll be up there Elk hunting thursday, and I'd be glad to check the ice for you. I think the only remotely safe place will be over in the dam bay. Just let me know where to look, and I will. I really hope it does freeze up hard. I'd kinda like to wet a hook up there Thursday.

well we will have to see whats up when we get there if worse comes to worse can always fish off the bank we'll be leaving SL about 6AM and will probley be fishing the dam area parking on the west side where theres a road down its dirt so we'll park on top and use it for a way down
