Kingfish, Chickamauga Lake, Crappie, 6-22-2013, Archie
#1
Archie and I put in about 6:30 am and fished until lunch.

Beautiful morning. The water was calm, the temp. was pleasant. Saw a deer on the way to the boat ramp. Then after launching saw both a duck with little ones and some geese with half grown youngsters.

We started fishing a bluff in the river in deep water. Never got a bite...

Went back upstream to some deep water structure and caught several Crappie. I picked up a 13-1/2" Black Crappie off of that spot.

Traveled downstream to a lesser known dock in deep water and picked up about half of the keepers of the day. I picked up a 13-3/4" Black Crappie from under that dock. Provided me winner of the "Big Fish" bet.

Ended the morning catching 45 with 17 keepers. Water temp. when we left was 81*. Fished with BGBS Patriot and Opening Night, both with chartreuse tail lights. 1/32 oz jig.
