I was fishing on the Chickahominy Lake in VA yesterday. This is one hydrilla chokes lake. I typically use a weedless grass frog and weedless plastic. Fishing was very slow, I found in my tackle box a 2.5" tube with a built-in weedless double hook. I slayed them, Pike, Bass & Bowfin. This lure glides through the hydrilla with great action.
WHAT IS THIS LURE? See attached pics,
Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

It looks like a Ghost lure made by The Producers that went out of business a while ago. I still have two white and one glow in the dark in my tackle box. Great top water lures for weedy stuff!

dmkiefer,
I appreciate the reply. So far, you have provided the most info on this lure. I would really like to get my hands on more of them, or something very similar. The built-in weedless, double hook, along with the soft hollow plastic works very well in this hydrilla choked lake that I fish. Do you know where I may find something similar?

I wish I knew where to buy more. I have searched ebay without any luck. Google isn't much help either. It just finds old forum posts of other people searching for them.

Scroll down to the 8th lure, is this what you are talking about? If so, I don't think it is the same lure MacFishOn is talking about. By the way, welcome to the site.

dmkiefer & Wiperhunter2,
Gentlemen, I greatly appreciate your input. However, Wiperhunter2 is correct, the lure that dmkiefer references: "[#0066cc]The Producers Lures #745 Ghost 3/4oz. 4-1/4" Type F" [/#0066cc][#000000]is not the lure I seek. This Gost has hanging treble hooks. What I seek is a 2.5" hollow tube with a weedless double hook set, much like you see on a "grass frog".[/#000000]
See attached picture.
Again, I am very impressed with the response and the people on this forum. You are good folks, & I have found a new home to discuss my passion for fishing.
My search continues.
Thank you
Mac

I'm happy I helped. I helped myself too because all this time I've been searching the wrong brand ghost. Now I won't be afraid of losing the ones I already have knowing they are still available.
