Hit the LP again...similar results. Several on elk hairs and PMDs...but caught most my fish below the surface on the usuals. Water is still a little up and off colored. Fun day!

Oh yeah...the rubber hatch was in full force. I was having to push them off of me at times. Makes me miss the good old days when the LP was a blue ribbon fishery and not just a teenage playground and beer can disposal. Sad.

bring some needle pins and pop the tubers [Wink] make them swim and toss a beer attached to a fishing pool and catch some new special call "Homo sapiens".

Might have to check out the lower provo again some day. Were you up the canyon or in the city because I only fished low provo a few times and lately for me it's been slow.

Thought about bringing a razor blade and giving every tube that bounces off me a quick slit...then enjoy watching them scramble down stream as their tube loses air! Lol! Yeah, I was in the canyon. I never have much luck down near the mouth.

I agree that the river is for everyones use, even tubers...it's just the amount of garbage floating down the river that gets to me. I grew up on the LP, and it is Sad to see such disrespect for the river.

Same I grew up fishing the LP and MP long before they made any enhancements. As a kid I remember camping right beneath Deer creek dam and fishing in the spill way and Bridal Veil falls had the rickety wooden chair lift that went to the top.

Don't get me wrong I've had my run ins with the floaters ive gotten chased off so called "Steve Aults property" near the railroad tussle by a rafting company. Had take a swim to get out of the way for a drunk who though it would be funny to try a fly by. Even ripped a pair of waders when a dropper caught my leg trying to make a b-line for the shore.

But we all got to co- exist the floaters only get the river for 3 or 4 months were Anglers get it all year.

But I do agree with the trash, at the end of the season the banks are left with popped tubes, sunglasses, flip flops and hats & beer cans.
