This weekend I had 3 co-workers in town and was able to take them fishing yesterday on Soldier Creek. They were late at getting to the marina, so we did not have lines in the water until about 9:30. We were trolling in water depths of 35-50' with Kokanee Creek squids being the most popular. We were able to land 5 Kokanee, 10 Rainbow, and 5 Cutty's in 5 hours of fishing. We covered a lot of water to get the fish in the boat but my guest from South & North Carolina and Florida enjoyed the scenery we have to offer in this great state.

What color of squid were you using if you don't mind me asking.

I don't fish Strawberry or Soldier Creek very much but did try for the kokanee there last Sat. all we could find for kokanee were a few small ones in the 10 to 12 in. range which were carefully released. We did catch a few rainbow and cuthroat but nothing of any size. We located a few schools of what appeared to be kokanee of a larger size but I could not get them to bite. I'm glad your guests enjoyed the trip.

the fish were liking the white squid with a silver dodger. We had other colors out but by mid day all lines had white on them.
