It's definitely been awhile since ya'll have heard from me. Got relocated down to New Orleans for work. Finally managed to get out on some marsh waters an attempt some Reds. Came up empty this trip, had a pretty bad storm come in the night before. Tide was pretty high, water was still clear though. We had to sit in the parking lot for about an hour to let the rain subside so we could launch the boat. Got out of the water, Sun was no where in sight, wind was blowing around 15mph. Casting was rough, made the best of a bad situation. Ended up with a single spotted seatrout to break the skunk! More reports to come in time!

Ahhh man,

this makes me sick! I used to being doing the same things around the Chesapeake Bay. Great photos man

Stick with it, you are in some great territory down there. Fish when the tides are moving, concentrate on choke points, and dont be afraid to "run and gun". If they are there they will normally cooperate. My buddy just went on a trip down there and they through all shrimp patterns. Who knows, keep after 'em...

The tide should've been pushing out, but that storm kind of must up everything. Like I said, water was clear, but with the pressure of the storm, not being able to see, we were basically just blind casting, big, dark flies hoping for the best.

Send me over a PM on any tips and trick, flies, etc you're willing to offer up! This was our first trip out, still got everything to learn!
