Was thinking of hitting FL tomorrow, but I am getting conflicting reports on the ice thickness. I was told some were fishing on 6 inches of ice on the south end before Christmas. I just called the fly shop down there and he told me there is 1-2 inches on south end and north end is open water.
Anyone have any reports from Fish Lake???

the reports I've heard are that there is some fishable ice on the south end of the lake, near the bathrooms. I wouldn't expect much more than that.
I would say: go for it.
Just have an alternative in case you don't feel comfortable on the ice at FL. Koosharem and Otter Creek are both fairly close and could provide a great day of fishing.

There's 6-8 inches of ice on the south end of the lake and there was people fishing it out from the south side marina this morning. The ice is clear in most spots and very slick, so be careful.
I would not try to fish anywhere near or north of Twin creeks for the next few weeks, it was still open water yesterday.
