Fished Strawberry yesterday on the east side of Strawberry Bay. Fishing was good, but nothing spectacular. Our group of 4 landed 15 for the first half of the day.

Ice was 8" and solid. We rode our sleds from the south end of the ladders and drove mostly along the shore line. Saw multiple machines shoot across haws point area headed towards the meadows.

We took an adventure ride and saw multiple groups in the renegade bay/meadows area. Ice will be fine for your fishing trip.

Sounds like sleds are making it from the marina to Renegade, does that sound correct? I'm heading out there tomorrow and would like to avoid the longer ride via the road.

I had to call in sick so I could go to Lake Powell!

You should have no worries. Just watch for any pressure ridges, there were a lot where we fished. Please let me know how Renegade treats you, I'm looking for that area on my next trip.

We made the trip from Renegade to the Marina and you need to use caution. There were several large areas of slush, no problems scooting through, but made your butt pucker.

At the "entrance" to Renegade from the main lake, the ice had broken up and refroze several times. It's pretty rough through there and undoubtedly has some weak spots, especially towards the middle and west parts. The east side seemed to be the best and that's were we went through it.

Fishing was not great for us (showed up late and left early), but others in the area had great days.
