My friend and I enter to Big Sand bay again on Tuesday. We iced our first walleye ever. Both were small (12 in). One was caught with a dead stick worm and power bait the other was on a jig, rapala perch. We also iced 11 trout up to 19 in. Great day try it again this week. I have a showdown and had several fish come in and look at my jigs but only iced 2 trout with a paddle bug.

Thanks for the report! I am hoping to head out there this weekend. Any specifics you are willing to provide? Depth you were fishing, time of day? Thanks again. Tight lines,
Cole

Went back to Big Sand Bay today. Ice is 8 to 10 inches on the South side. Iced 16 nice fat trout to 16.5 inches. Heard of a 8 lb fish caught yesterday in Sand bay. No Walleye but we will keep trying. Ice is very slick even with cleats.
