Good News--Bad News
Went on the 30th and had a good day! My party of three caught 35 perch ranging from 3-10.5'' inches. We fished in three feet of water with one of the feet being solid ice. Bite was very light had to watch my line move, and sometimes you would rip out a minnow or sometimes you would rip out a jumbo. Talked to some other guys that found five feet of water and caught nothing. So yeah I thought Mud Lake will be awesome this year--went back today and fished for three hours--moved several times and had two small bites. At least I saw some good size perch come out of Eastern Idaho; I still might have to make the trip to Cascade. For the biologists water is murcky
in some areas and clear in others. Weeds are in place, but not overcrowded. If you fish Mud Lake and know some secrets I would appreciate a PM. If you want to know the area I was fishing or method give me a PM. I would love to get into the bigger perch again, but I am greatful to have one lucky day in a place that has not produced for me in quite a while.
Oh' I could not be skunked on New Years Day; that is some serious bad MOJO! I also had my new three year license and it needed to be broke in properly. So I went to Roberts and iced a trout and a bunch of perch[]
