Blacks sands
#1
Anyone know if the boat ramp at black sands is open? Mid 40's means crank baits in the narrows. Wish we could have got rid of a few more of those perch in front of cottonwood. The crappy are off jacks creek point.

I am wondering why you choose that ramp over the ramp at the cove campground?

Like to stay on as much pavement as possible, the bass boat is a dust magnet. I bet the Air Force ramp is open

Bring a sledge just in case. The narrows will be iced over, it doesn't get any sun.
Is the restaurant closed for the month?

The ramp at the cove is so shallow it's almost unusable. Even with my small boat I dang near flood the the truck launching there. I'm sure the AF ramp is open and in good shape. Not sure about Black Sands.

i am a fellow champion boat that youve seen there. i actually went yest and used air force ramp with no issues. the ice was about 1/2 way through the narrows. most of the water i saw was around 40 to 41. didnt try for bass yet.caught a nice rainbow and a bunch of perch all 6 to 8 inches. didnt keep any but it seems like we only caught last years hatch.

i only caught 2 7 inch crappie and about 30 perch via boat. i checked the hump and narrows and couldnt find hardly any fish. the one spot i found them loaded and my fishfinder never stopped showing them was at the buoy line near the dam spillway.
