Fishing invite for Saturday

Plan on ice fishing Strawberry this Saturday. Leave the Bountiful area around 5:00 AM and likely return in the early afternoon. If anyone is interested in joining me and sharing gas expense please send me a PM.

Kent bring extra gas for your auger, or extra muscle for a hand auger. I burned through a tank of gas quick in my auger. Ice was 27" to the top of water, and 31" to the top of crusted snow. Good luck!!

I also just called and made arrangements to get my blades sharpened. I noticed that they were a little dull my last trip to Strawberry.

I got mine sharpened there at the beginning of the season. They did a good job! Good luck Saturday, I'd love to go but I have other commitments.

I was just at strawberry a couple days ago and did very well by the ladders!! In about 5 hours I pulled out 4 bows and about 20 cuts in the slot. I was about 20 yards away from the open water at the Ladders, in 25 ft of water. The bows would come in at 15' and the cuts from the bottom. Black 1/8 once maribou tipped with a very small portion of night crawler. They liked an aggressive jig and often committed after a two foot jig and drop. I only missed two to three fish that showed up on my sonar and even landed a double! I wouldnt hesitate for a moment to go back to the same spot after that action. I would have had more but had to get off the ice at 2:30 with fish still on the graph. Good luck!
