I was anxious to try some skips out Saturday. It was not a good day after the front and I wasn't very optimistic. Started out at dark on the lake and had a hard time buying a bite. Finally got a 27lber and a small 10ish. Called it a day early morning with the wind to pickup. Went down on the river to just enjoy loafing around. Anchor bite ended up being better than I imagined with plenty of numbers coming off a few sweet spots. All others were totally dead. Spent mid day downtown eating pizza, a sub, and taking a 2.5 hour nap in the sunshine getting woke up to a bait clicker Smile Fun times!
Richard joined me on my boat for some experimenting in the evening. He may tell his story different but I had a great time, even though I was way more tired then I seemed. We had lots of fish, and ended with our best three being 41, 25, and 17. Lots of Nummers as I call them, had to size up the nummies to let the big boy have a chance to find someSmile

Good day!
