I have been sturgeon fishing CJ for several years and last year was the first year that I have seen massive schools of perch. They were stripping the bait off of our hooks as fast as we would cast out. We had to move locations to get away from them and to give a sturgeon a chance to bite our bait. I seriously doubt that over harvesting is a problem.
