Day #1 in the books on Clear Lake ... Stephen Johnson and I were boat #16 and we shared some serious confidence today. The last two days we found good numbers of fish and all we had to do was capitalize on them today.
First fish in the boat was a solid 3.5lb fish and after that, we just kept the fire burning. I'm telling you what, this lake is chuck full of giant bass! After the smoke cleared, we brought over 18lbs to the stage with 5 big bass.
We currently are sitting in 10th place out of 30+ teams. We have to make a run tomorrow and get some big fish in the boat to crack the top 10 (which will secure our birth in the national championship)
