Transition Bass? No problem!

In many areas, Bass are starting to transition into that post spawn phase. Their moving off their beds into deeper water but don't be intimidated by this pattern as some of these big bass do not travel far! More times than not I have seen these fish move from about 1-6 feet of water during the spawn to about 9-14 feet of water during the post spawn to restock their bellies! Many times these fish will be in the same locations just a little bit deeper. Go to finesse worms and Jigs around docks and grass lines, Sea walls that hold several feet of water can be a real good target for some of these shad chasers! In the Bright, Clear skies got to a more suttle bait like a jig or finesse worm. In cloudy or overcast conditions go with moving baits like a spinnerbait or chatterbait! They are still there folks just gotta go a tad bit deeper and get them while the getting is good![fishin]
