Henry's Lake Fishing Help
#1
I have fished Henry's lake several times but have yet to rack up a productive day. We are taking some young kids up in a week with a small boat. Any tips on how to improve our luck would be appreciated.

leeches or zug bugs work good if you're fly fishing. If you're using spinning gear I like the holographic panther martins. Or drop anchor somewhere by the cliffs and use a good 'ol worm and marshmallow. I love to fish Henry's

We caught alot more fish near the state ramp, rather than the county this weekend. We picked up fish on leeches fly fishing, panther martins, spoons, worms. Seemed the fish were starting to move out a little bit after the big rush of memorial weekend so may change up a bit but should be a good start.

If you are taking young children, think worms and bobbers. Try the Targhee and the Wild Rose area. Cliffs should be good as well. Weeds are low right now so trolling can be a good choice.

Fished 4 hours today kept 4 . 3 Brookies between 2 and 3 pounds and 1 Cutthrought 3 pounds . Very slow . And the bugs are bad . They look like misqetos but don't bite . Going to fish Trudes Bay on IP tommarow .

We fished yesterday and today. Caught about a dozen yesterday trolling repalas and also bait near the cliffs. Today was slower. Caught about 5 until we got blown off after lunch. Had a fun time! Thanks for helping out and providing us with some good advice. Hope you all do well.

The bugs are bad and the one I kept had a stomach half full of them as the larva move to surface and a five inch chub in a 19 " er. We trolled. If you get out and it is windy get off if in a small boat. It only takes a few minuets to go from calm to four foot whitecaps.
