Yes....I fished it last Wednesday! We caught both rainbows and wipers on fly rods from a raft. We were using crystal buggers...rainbows are really fun right now; they are acrobatic and pull like mad. The wipers we caught were running about 15-16 inches and also fun to catch. We also watched a guy in a pontoon catch a number of rainbows--probably more than us--with a strike indicator...I bet he was using chironomids. I would love to get out there in the evening because there have been some huge mayfly hatches going on out there and the trout are slurping them up!

If any of you guys are interested in fishing chironomid hatches right now, in the dusk over near Charleston bay there is some incredible action. Unfortunately it isnt really hot until after the power squadron gets off, like 9PM or so. I was out there last night and once the lake calmed down, there were visible steady risers all over, taking emergers just under the surface.

Yes DC. Heavy midge hatches along the railroad tracks last night; heavy feeding as well.

I been doing pretty good for about an hour before total darkness at Minersville.

Mostly big fat Bows with a very few Cutts in the mix.

In 3 to 6 feet of water out on the flats.

1/8th OZ jig with a black curly tail grub site casting right to riasing fish from the stand up pontoon. When they do hit they been hitting it like a ton of bricks.

Thier still fighting real hard with alot of big jumps.

Seeing most people catching a few fish when I watch with the scope from the porch.

I snuck out at minersville and whacked some solid smallmouth bass. Here is a map of where I caught them: http://www.krakenbass.com/minersville-ba...le-stoked/

The bass fishing is hot if you haven't tried it yet.

hmmmm... That's 190 miles away from Minersville. No wonder I couldn't find it.

So, back to Minersville: I think I'll go.
