I hear good things about the lower Provo this time of year. I want to check it out but I know some sections of this river are private and heavily enforced by the landowners. Can you fish near the rv park? Any other spots to go on the river that's recommended? Thanks for the help folks!

I have been doing good by the first parking after the tunnel. Klinkhammers and EHC have been my flies of choice. Quite a few caddises also some pmd and midges. For a dropper I use size eighteen drowned ant flies or emergers.

Also if you're nymphing you can't beat a rainbow scud or sow bug.

Drowned ant? I never would have thought about that, how cool! Thanks for the tips brother! I'm excited to give it a shot. I typically drive at least a couple hrs to fish but it would be nice to get to know the lower better. Thanks again!

I've hit the lower provo a couple times this week. Nymphing I have done very well with an iron lotus and a sow bug. There was also a PMD hatch around one in the afternoon that lasted quite some time and made for some great dry fly action.

Thank you! That's good to know... I tied up a dozen sows last night so I should be ready to go. Gotta love the iron lotus pattern. I'm heading out tonight if anyone want to join!
