The past several days on the Big-G has been great with some good numbers of quality fish. The most productive pattern for just catching a lot of fish to have fun with has been taking 1.5 square bill crankbaits and fishing them along hydrilla lines in 6-8 ft. of water. This is a fun and consistent pattern for this time of year. The better quality bite has been from swimming shad colored Choo Choo Lures jigs along with a 7'3" heavy action Hammer Rod and 20 lb. Vicious Florocarbon line in some of the deeper patches of hydrilla in 8-10 ft. of water. Today I had a couple of gentlemen that had their first experience with swimming jigs, and after the fish we were able to catch I would be willing to say that it won't be their last. The storms have really beat down the Mat's, but the Frog bite is still producing well especially in the more scattered grass areas. Have fun, Mike Carter www.anglingadventures.info
