hit the ice at 9am off ice at about 3:00.
fish out front of the boat ramp. 9 ft of water. fishing was slow , but did get 8 nice preach and a trout. did see 2 black bass come to the jig on my marcum but couldn't get them to strike. ice is still 4 to 6" was nosy today cracking and popping.

Nice Perch, glad you got into them!
I think the black bass you mentioned are of the Largemouth Variety...someone correct me if I'm wrong
I need to get back over there to that pond.

You aren't wrong. Largemouths are sometimes also referred to as black bass.

yes lavaman , they are largemouth and I call the smallmouth brown bass.
