Starvation 1-23-15
#1
Got on the ice by 6:45 this morning. Air was about 18 degrees. The ice around the bridge was a good 5-6". I drilled about 20+ holes from the rock cliffs to the north of the bridge down about 200 yards south of the bridge. Fished from 18-60'. I marked 1 fish in 3 hours and got 2 very small bumps. That's it! Not quite sure whats up with Starvation. The last few years have really been slow. Oh well, that's why it's called fishing not catching. Still nice to get out and "chill" for a while.

If you were looking for perch, the word I've heard from a couple places is that they have crashed. Pineview the same.

Anybody confirm?

The perch population of jumbos we were used to catching a couple years ago is definitely down. perch are still there. Mostly small ones 5" - 8".
