What a difference lack of boat and fishing pressure makes! Cold temps..Yep, Cold "North" wind..Yep, water white capping..Yep, and it's the perfect ingredients for big fish to "turn on". I had a short trip today that turned out to be one heck of a day of catching some great quality fish on 1 oz. Traps. The pattern of fishing in 8-10 ft. of water was strong today even though it was slow over the weekend. It goes to show that at any given time this lake can really get turned on and turn a miserable cold windy day into a fantastic time of fishing. Get out and enjoy it while it's here. Have fun, Mike Carter
