Nice outing on SH. My niece hooked this big old Lady, weighing in 8.5 lbs. Caught all fish deep on drop-shots and jigs. It won't be much longer until they really get going...can't wait!

Just a guess, but I think they are referring to Sand Hollow.

Yes Sand Hollow. Last time I was there water temp was 48. I'm thinking it could be in the low 50s now with all this warm weather. Had a few bites on the drop shot, but they were supper light. Got to kill this skunk!!

Yes, Sand Hollow. Water temps ranging around 50-53 depending on which part of the lake you are on, and what time of day. Getting some light bites, but a lot of solid hits as well. Very slow presentations right now. Can't wait for the temps to go up and the fish to get more aggressive. Water is still lower then I like to see it for this time of year. The days of the flooded trees and shoreline structure are over I guess, especially when we keep on getting no snow/water down here. Thank goodness for the grass beds!

That is an awesome Bass. Now I know Sand Hollow is somewhere in south Utah, but about how far would you say from Ogden area. Would probably need to be a couple night trip like on a long weekend. Camp sites? Hotels you would recommend for us old guys that are past (way past) the tent and camp cot routine. Am I remembering wrong, or is Sand Hollow on the invasive species contaminated list?
Again, great Bass (like what I used to see in Georgia and Florida)

I am heading down there next weekend. We will be staying at The Comfort Inn in Hurricane. After speaking the the manager there, they seem to be fisherman friendly in regard to parking and charging of trolling batteries. We'll have to see. In regard to the invasive species - I believe SH was removed from the list in March, 2014.

The Comfort Inn is one that I see a lot of boats parked at, so I imagine they are boat-friendly. Sand Hollow is located in Hurricane, UT...just a few miles off the I-15 Hurricane exit, just down from Quail Creek. They did finally remove SH from the zebra muscle list, so now you can fish in between there and Quail without the hassle of decontamination.
