Any suggestions as to which drive in Uinta lake is best for shore fishing and what the best bait/lures would be?

I took my 4 and 8 year old boys to Wall Lake this past weekend and in about an hour we caught six fish, a few tigers and a few brooks.
Both of them were just fishing with power bait. [signature]

I second the Wall Lake suggestion. It's just far enough away to thin out the crowds that you'll find at Trial or Mirror. It's about a mile hike, and a beautiful destination. I've had success there with worms and fly and bubble. If it's crowded near the dam (stream outlet), take the time to walk to the right around to the other side of the lake where you see a rock slide. If the stream outlet is 6 o'clock, the rock slide is about 1 o'clock. I call it a rock slide, but it may not appear that way; it's just the only place I found with a lot of large boulders spilling into the lake; and my boys and I had great success fishing there last time we were there. It's a bit of a walk around the lake, but can fish along the way.
Have fun wherever you go, and bring insect repellant. [signature]

Washington and Crystal can also be decent lakes. They are very near the trail head for Wall lake mentioned above. You should be able to catch fish with a fly and bubble, but worms and power bait should also get the job done. Flies try a grey hackle peacock size 14 or a black wooly bugger 2.5' behind the bubble. Have fun, it is a beautiful area.

I hit Washington and Fehr over the weekend with my family. I got my 4 year old daughter to catch her very first fish. Dangling a worm about 2 feet under a bobber worked really well. I was getting hits on a white maribou jig and silver/blue little Cleo. The worm was a lot more effective than powerbait, but I suspect that'd work as well. Those fish are just hungry. We were able to catch fish at both lakes until my daughter's patience ran out.
