Decided to go out this morning despite what mother nature had in mind. Put in at HPSP and fished topwater near some grass lines. My son managed 2 decent fish on a wake bait but I couldn't come up with anything. We went off shore for a while, saw fish on the graph in 2-3 places but couldn't get them to bite. We ended up going shallow and flipping some docks and lay downs and managed a few fish including a 17-7/8" smallmouth. All in all ended up catching 12-13 fish but nothing big. Had a good time with my son and a friend but got soaked heading back to the ramp and putting the boat on the trailer. Most fish caught on baby brush hog or a jig. Boat will take a week to dry.
