Got out mid morning today to do a little more looking for the CBA this Saturday. I went to where I caught them earlier this week and could not buy a bite. emoBang They would not chase or hit anything. It appeared they were there on my graph but none wanted to play. It was a struggle and a grind today. I only managed to catch seven bass today. Hope that is not a sign of this weekend. I did only have one short largemouth in the seven I caught. One was a 13 inch spot. However the other five were some really decent bass. I had one two and a half, two three and a half, one four and my kicker for the day was 6/3. emoThumbsup Nearly a 20 lbs sack. emoTongue Needed Derek there to cull that two pounder. emoBig Like I said I could not get them to chase, I could not get them to hit in the grass, it was a tough one today. The only thing that did work for me today was drowning a big worm deep, 18 to 25 feet was where I boated most of them. I did have my first hit of the year on a frog in some topped out grass. emoThumbsup Fishing a black frog in some grass about 11, just to see what would happen I had one suck it down. Not much of a hit, just a ripple and it was gone. Set the hook and it loaded up. Buried me in the grass and I had to pull really hard to get it to come out and I pulled the hook out. emoMad That was the only one I got to hit the frog.

About burned up out there. Man, it was hot and humid. If it is like that Saturday bring some sun screen and come prepared to take care of your fish. Here is the 6 pounder.

C-ya out there. emoAngler Jmax
