old FG Kok report 6-27-28
#1
Thought I would share this one sorry little out dated 6-27/28

We hit FG 6-27 about 4 pm and ran up to pipe line picked up four nice kok. It was little slow fish were 40 to 50 ' deep and pink and orange with white and chrome dodger. Was on the water Sunday early and picked up one more nice fish. it was slow
Little fish moved in around 9 same depth after the 2nd small one we packed it in. If I cant stay out the little ones after having a good smoker load in the boat I normally don't keep fishing in that area. If they released better I would have no issue throwing them back but that is just not the case with the kok imo.

Nice pic of some nice Kokes!
I've found that if you keep the fish in the water and just use pliers to take the hook out the fish swim right back down, we only take the keepers out of the water. The lips on the Kokes are so soft the release is usually pretty easy.

Thanks for the advice on release. I have a hard time doing that not sure if my legs are to short or my guts to big. I fish out of a 24' thunderjet offshore i guess I could try it from the motor platform. Depends on who i'm with cause I am pretty sure if I with my normal fishing buddies someone will be swimming. LOL its hard to zip your fly back up and swim to the boat and this is from experience.

When we release small Kokanee the fish is brought in fast, never taken out of the water, or even touched and our release record is very disappointing. Also how do you like the thunder jet as a lake type boat. Thanks.
