Bear Lake Report 1-18-2004
#1
Went up to Bear Lake this morning to get my limit of Cisco for the year. Started at the free area of Cisco Beach south of the Flag Pole/Pay Station because there were a ton of people there. Peered into a couple holes I cleared out for 45 minutes. Only saw a few Cisco and netted none. It was very slow for other folks too. Decided to head up to the Flag Pole to try that area out because my uncle had told me they had been thick up there every day since the run started. Not nearly as many people. Cleared out a hole and had my limit in 10 minutes.

As far as ice fishing, the ice isn't thick enough for me yet, but there were people trying there luck. There was one guy off Cisco Beach, a good group off Second Point, nobody off First Point, a good group off the Pump House, and a few folks scattered along the west side even. I didn't notice anybody on the Rock Pile yet. Ice must be too sketchy out there still. Didn't see any sleds or 4-wheelers on the ice. Probably for good reason.
