Has anyone fished East Canyon lately?

fished Taylors on Friday early AM and between 4 of iced a dozen bows. Some of em pretty nice at around 16" and 17"

Solid ice everywhere we fished.

Used Rat Finky's tipped with waxies.

Delicious on the smoker.

I was also up Friday, early am till late pm. Good success, kept creel of 15 - 16 inchers, released many nice chunky 10 inchers too. Same holes Sat, even more hours (departed at 9 pm) - skunked! But still fun. Yet again Sun. same holes again and still very slow, but did well 100 feet away. Kept 2 more 15 - 16 inchers. Being smoked as I write. Yummy! Don't stray too far from iced fish or you might get robbed by baldies

That's funny about the resident thief over in Taylor's. Second year having supper taken right off the hard deck. They are not shy at all.

Reminds me of the time I was shooting ground squirrels and suddenly heard a fffffffffUMP. And there, not ten feet away, was a golden eagle, talons deep into a dead potgut, and a look in his eye that said, "This one's mine. Don't even think it."

He was welcome to it, too.

I met my son and grandson up at Jordanelle. My young grandson came running up & showed me his 15"ish rainbow. The little guy was carrying his fish around with him, and laying it in the rocks while he fished. While fishing, I hear him yell, "Grandpa, that seagull stole my fish". Sure enough, there went the seagull with a 15"ish fish. I gave chase, and followed that bird what seemed like half way to Heber. Finally, the bird landed, and I scared him away from the fish, but it was old, & half rotten. My grandson yells, "Nevermind grandpa, here's my fish".

We've done well fishing shallow10 ft of water. Watch your pole though My buddy had his pulled down the hole a few weeks ago.
