Fish lake biggy! 2-7-16

Made one of our annual fish lake trips over the weekend. Invited the TDT to tag along and met up with some other friends. Hit the lake as the sun was coming up. Pulled into the parking lot where a few other fellow fishers were still sleeping in the 0 degree weather. Looked like we ended up being their alarm clock. Got the gear unloaded and headed for deep water. First pole in and before I could put it down it was fish on. It was almost insane to even fish two poles with as fast as the catching was. My main focus was for a big Mac and all the action from the rainbows was making it very difficult. One good hook up and a miss on one mac almost had me thinking that was my chance for that trip. Not to long later and BAM!!!!! Big fish on! A few yells to get some help at the hole and gear cleared out of the way yielded one dang nice fish lake lake trout. 32 inches.
Anyone nearby new something was up. I couldn't help but be excited that the plan had paid off. Not only did the laker make for a good day but it also ended up being one of my best days on the lake with well over 100 rainbows landed. Everyone in the group caught fish and had a good time.

congrats on a awesome fish. headed down there on Thursday till Sunday for our annual fish trip. how thick is the ice? hopefully the weather will be nice for us. [cool]
