Nice Video Nate, thanks for sharing it with us. You are one of the few that have those BFT toboggan hats, good to see some of our long time members wearing them.

Thats a great video. Thanks for posting it.

Are you ok with me putting it on the home page in the featured video section on the lower right side? I put it there, but I will gladly take it down if you would rather it not be there. I should have asked you first, but there are so few videos submitted, that i got excited and put it there. Please let me know if you would like me to take it down.

Have a great day...

Thanks. I won it for some photo contest on here years ago. It's a nice warm stocking cap.

Great video.

I have really been impressed with that lake this year. We have consistently caught really decent bows though the ice. It's an extra bonus that the lake is just a few minutes from the house.

Glad you enjoyed it. The lake has been managed pretty well and it's pretty consistent. There's lots of healthy fish in there - nice rainbows, browns, LM bass and bluegill.

Cool video. How do you like those inline reels for ice fishing? I'm not familiar with that lake. Bass, bluegill, and bows? Care to share?

I really like inline reels. The one in the video is an HT with 1:1 gear ratio. I'm not a big fan of HT stuff but this reel seems decent and I have 3. These work well for panfish in water less than 20' deep. It's too hard to keep up with trout with these.

I also have an Eagle Claw with a 2.6:1 gear ratio. I don't recommend this reel but the free spool feature makes it easy to reach deeper water and the gear ratio makes it much easier to keep up with trout runs. I'll probably try the Clam, Frabil or other brand next time.

The thing I really like about inline reels is the reduced line twist and much less line coil helping to maintain contact with light lures.

Shhhh! It's Steinaker.

Thanks for the info. I almost bought a Frabill inline reel for this season but talked myself out of it. Steinaker has been on my list if waters to float tube fish for three years now. Guess I will give it a shot when it opens up. Thanks again.
