Was up at Whitney reservoir on Friday, snow was about waist deep at least, however on the reservoir it was still wet and slushy. Since we were snowmobiling I didn't stop to wet a line, but I can report there's no crowds and the weather is gorgeous up above the inversion. The picture is from the Whitney Gaurd station. Note the temperature. Might be why the pond was slushy. Anyway it was fun even if I didn't have time to try the fish. Later J

Ya know if your auger was long enough you just may find some hungry fish in a spot like that. It's a lot bigger reservoir than I thought it was, would be fun to try in the summer as well. Later J
