More of the same these last two days on the ice. Seeing a lot of people down by the dam lately. Not sure how that is fishing. I might try there tomorrow for fun. Fished south center and south west. Saturday was pretty good fishing. Caught my limit in 16+ inch fish in about 2 hours on a white small tube with a 1/32 oz head tipped with mealworm. I usually use wax worm but they all of the sudden seem to like mealworm. Might just be a fluke but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Ice was 8-9" thick and was popping like crazy today. Edges on the west side were pretty good. Good enough that I didn't go through on a snowmobile. I didn't stick around to test them any more than that ;-).
Saturday was good fishing as I mentioned. With this storm, today the fishing sucked. Only iced 2. Watched plenty of schools swim right past my bait.
