Well with the onset of the warm temps and seeing many of the comments I would like to give it one more try this coming weekend. Got skunked at Rockport and Strawberry last week so I thought I might try Echo. Any current reports?
Thanks

Went to Echo yesterday. Had a few nibbles but no fish. Ice was about 12 inches. The edges were pretty soft. I fell in calf deep when leaving.

I was out at Echo on Monday with my kids just off the boat ramp as well. We were there from about 9:30-3:00. My older son, wife and I were using jigs tipped with wax worms and didn't get any bites. My youngest son wanted to try power bait and from about 11-11:15 he caught three big rainbows. That was the only action we got all day.

Me and my son fished the west side Monday almost straight across from the boat ramp and caught about 30 perch and 4 rainbows in 29 fow. Perch eyes on small green ice flies worked for all. The action died about 1:00pm.
