This was one of my best days on the Weber. From the first hole to the last I was into fish. Really nice brown and of course some pretty nice whites as well. They were mostly on a bead head sow bug with a couple coming on a black zebra midge. I had my sow as my bottom fly and had the zebra about 18 inches up from that. Some of the takes were pretty aggressive, but most were subtle. I was fishing up closer to Wanship so the water was a little colder than it will be as you get closer to Echo. I got to the river at about 10:30 and left around 2:30. It's a great time of year to be on the water!

I was running a bit bigger than most do this time of year. I had on size 16 zebra. I used 20+ last time I was out and got no love at all. Usually a zebra is good for a few fish on the Weber, but that smaller size just didn't get em excited like the larger one did.

I live so close to the Weber that I need to learn to make it work for me. Moved up here several years ago and just haven't put in the time, yet.
Thank You for the report.
