Jordanelle Report 1-25
#1
Me and my two cousins went to Jordanelle on sunday. we fished from 1:30 p.m - 4:30 p.m. Fished on the Rockcliffs side in about 25 feet of water. We all fished with small jigs tipped with wax worms or nightcrawler, and had consistant action for rainbows averaging about 12 inches, with the biggest being a 17 incher. They seemed to hit anything as long as you kept it small. We got hits on every drop and I ended up catching 13 rainbows, my cousin 9, and my other cousin 3(he couldn't hook a fish if his life depended on it, he missed at least 15 bites). No perch were caught on this trip.

I was there too with my son . I was on the ATV , I think I was the only one with a atv . All we caught were perch . I seen some fish cruise up higher and reeled up to them but couldn't buy a hit . Did you catch them on bottom ? I was fishing 33' deep water on the south side .

We caught our fish from 6 inches off the bottom to 10 feet off the bottom. We don't have a fish finder so we start at the bottom and if we don't get a bite, give a couple reels and try at that depth. We just work our way to the top. They seem to bite right after jigging it and you let it sit. We were the ones that were the farthest out on the south side, there were three of us. I think the key to catching the trout is to break away from everybody. We fished close to the bank about 15 feet from the shore in about 20-25 feet of water next to some steep rock cliffs.
