Road from Boundary Creek turn off to turn off at Cascade
#1
Wanted to see if Anyone could give me some details on the drive. Going to be in challis for a few days, then am planning to meet some friends in McCall. I've never driven the road from the boundary creek turnoff that Takes you to cascade. Was thinking of taking a detour instead of going to banks, then up to McCall that way. Is the road open at this point? How long of a drive is it from from the turn off to boundary to hitting the highway in cascade? What kind of shape is the road in? If anyone can fill me in, I would appreciate it.

That route would include about 60-70 miles of washboards and chuck holes. Otherwise, it is passable. I've been over the whole thing this year.

That's assuming you make all the correct junctions........ If not, it could be worse.
