Hope its ok that I intro here vs the national/global intro as I mainly fish locally.
I am getting back into fishing after many many years not (not sure how i stayed sane) So mostly still learning the local waters and how/what to fish them with. building up more/the right gear My wife and both kids are starting fishing (7 and 3)
Really starting to realize that I need a kayak/canoe/boat/toon to land more fish. (if you see any great deals let me know)
I am a nerd by day, I have been in sales engineering/solution architecting/IT management for 12+ years. I am lucky enough to work from home and for the most part make my own schedule so early morning trips are always on the docket.
I have done both bait/cast and Fly fishing, but currently just doing b/c.
I have lived and fished in Eastern Montana on the Tongue and Yellowstone, paddle fish, sturgeon, walleye, pike, muskie, perch, as well as browns and bows.
lived/fished in SW Idaho (Marsing) Snake river/ local lakes. bass, cats, bulls n bows, steelheads (mostly on the salmon) and of course the amazing white sturgeon (such an amazing creature)
Currently (and hopefully for a LONG time) live in Mtn Green, so my local holes are East/LostCr//Pineview/Weber/Echo.
My favorite fish to fish for has to be bluegill, pound for pound the best fight there is.
Happy to find this place, esp with how active it is. FWIW I found a thread on Reddit that suggested that I look here.
