what's the latest on deer creek. anyone fished it lately, if so how was it

Fished it last weekend. Ice is anywhere from 6" to 12" thick. We went across and fished below the R.R. tracks. We were the only ones over there and didn't catch anything.
Trout fishing has been fairly good, at island park, rainbow bay, and everywhere in between. Fish shallow. About 8' to 15'.
I caught some big bows two weekends ago on small red bait bugs, tipped with two wax worms.
Still can't find the walleye.

Hey WH2,we went to Willard on Saturday and did D.C. Sunday.

Drilled a bunch of holes at Willard. Caught a few tiny Channel Cats, no wipers, no Perch, no Walleye.

Should have had my T.C.(.223) along for the ride. On the way home, two big Coyotes ran across the road and stood on the dike right next to the truck.

I couldn't get away from the job I was working on last Saturday, so I bagged the idea of coming out there. I've never seen a coyote out there before but I guess it shouldn't surprise me, it does surprise me that they let you guys get so close. What area did you fish and did you move around? WH2
