Glycerine and Chapstick worked
#1
That Glycerine and Chapstick is powerful. I took both of them with me yesterday to Bear Lake, but I didn't even have to take either one of them out of my bait box, and the eyes of my long jigging rod didn't freeze even once!

So tell us Kent; Did you land anything? Big Mac, Cuts?

Also; where were you fishing at? Gus's Point or Rock pile?

And was there a fair amount of Anglers out there? & how cold/warm was the temp? I'm headed up lator this week, and was wondering is all! [Smile]

On another thread I sought advice on what I could use to keep my rod eyes from freezing while ice fishing. I was advised to use Chapstick and Glycerine. I was just having a little funnin' with it, beings that I have to work today instead of going fishing.

I see where I didn't answer your question about number of people at Bear Lake. There were definitely many more fishermen/women out on Friday than there were a year ago at this time, even on a Saturday, fishing from my boat. What a difference it makes up there to have it frozen over. There were small groups of people fishing here and there, but Bear Lake is large enough that I don't think that you will ever feel very crowded, except in some of the parking lots, and in a few areas during the cisco spawn.
