Here's an update on Southern Utah ice conditions for December 7:
Panguitch Lake has 4-5 inches of solid, slick ice.
Otter Creek Reservoir is 75% covered with thin ice. Give it at least a week before it is safe.
Koosharem Reservoir is capped with 6 inches of ice.
Mill Meadow Reservoir is 90% covered with thin ice.
Forsyth Reservoir is capped with 6 inches of ice.
Fish Lake has some thin ice around the edges but is mostly open water. Because it is so deep, Fish Lake takes longer to freeze than other lakes. Typically it has safe ice between Christmas and the New Year.
